Christian Products: In Everything Give Thanks

Christian Printable Scripture Graphic by Christian Words Shop
I Thessalonians 5:14-22

We are encouraged to give thanks to God in every situation. Every circumstance is not good and God is not telling us to pretend or lie to ourselves and others. He is encouraging us to train ourselves to be grateful no matter how we feel or what we are experiencing.

God works in unusual and unexpected ways. When we are disturbed by vexation, anger and worry, we easily miss what God may be doing. When we are so overcome with excitement about blessings or successes and we forget to take out time to thank God, we easily miss what he may be doing. Developing a thankful spirit will help us to work with God, not against him, in doing his will and receiving from him.

This scripture passage is a reminder that it is God's will for us to cultivate the peaceful attitude of thankfulness, not only in difficult times but in good times, as well. We will then attract the good into our lives that God intends and handle difficulties in a way that pleases him.

All good gifts come from him and he takes the bad things and works them out for our good, one way or another. So, give Our Father God thanks in all things.

Trusting In God

We who love God choose to lean on him in spirit and in deed, just as we lean on the arm of a person for support so that we will safely arrive at a destination. We lean on Our Father God to arrive at a destination of strong faith and obedience. (Isaiah 51:5)

Trust means to not turn right or left off of the path on which we discern God has us. We might not know all of the facts about what God is doing in our lives but we have an impression in our spirits of how and where God is leading us.

Because we can't see very far in advance, we hesitate, ruminate and complicate our obedience to Our Heavenly Father. Despite that, we know that his Spirit is bearing witness with our spirits that The Most High God is doing this thing.

Because we choose everyday to live by trusting The One True God, we know him and he knows us. (Nahum 1:7)

We have a personal relationship with The Great I AM. We know that we can go to him anytime of the day or night, physically in formal prayer or mentally when we can't be alone with him. We do this so often that we are familiar to each other. We trust him because we ask all according to his will and in the name of his precious Son and the only Savior to mankind, Jesus Christ.

We are meek and humble. We choose to not only trust in God but in his very name. (Zephaniah 3:12) We may not know what to pray but we remember that we can call out any name in the Godhead when we are afraid, distressed or confused. Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Father! Father! Father! Holy Spirit help me! Help me! Help me! God recognizes and honors our trust in him everyday.

Priscilla Shirer Praises Jesus Christ

So many are ecstatic when they think they have finagled another way to God through some far-fetched ideas or obscure opinions but it can't be done.

We know that:

Jesus Christ is the only way to God,

The Only Door,

The Alpha and The Omega,

The First and The Last,

The Beginning and The End,

The Resurrection and The Life.

Let's praise him with American author, motivational speaker, actress, and Christian evangelist Priscilla Shirer! You may know that she is the daughter of Tony Evans and sister of Anthony Evans.

How Can I Solve My Problem?

The human mind is so constituted that if you pour your attention onto a problem without panic, keeping yourself calm and your mind unruffled, and if you maintain faith in God and firmly believe that you are going to get an answer, the answer will appear. Moreover, the more spiritual your mind is, the more definitely will it produce in this manner.

What is your problem? Is it one of health, of business, of your children, of your future? It makes no difference what it is. Do not get agitated, nor depressed over it. Do not try so hard. Do not be in a panic. Do not over-stress it.

Whatever your problem, when you lift your spirits, clear your mind, believe in your potential, take the worry and fear out of your thoughts, and have faith in God, you can do the impossible. You surely can.

God Is Magnificent!

Oh Father, magnificent and Holy God,

Who keeps his promises and compassion

For those who love him,

We give you all of the glory

And praise!

Daniel 9:3 (Paraphrased)

Let's praise our Father God for everything that he has done for us that we don't know about.

Praise him for all of the little things he's done for us.

Praise him for the big things that he's done for us.

Praise him for causing all bad things to work out for our good.

Praise him for his loving kindnesses and mercies.

Praise him because he is the most high God, the only wise God and the one true God!

He is worthy of all praise in any and every circumstance, no matter how we feel, no matter what has happened or has not happened.

He Is Worthy! He is Worthy! He is Worthy!

Is It All REALLY Working Together For My Good?

Sometimes, the trials that God turns into good for us we may never discern.

Often, this converting of these tribulations on our behalf moves into the realm of the unseen.

They can be the good that God does for us of which we are unaware.

We have faith that he does these things because the Word tells us so.

We may not always see the outcome of God working all things together for our good but we have testimonies of the times when we experienced proof that he did.

We also know that we live among bountiful blessings from our Heavenly Father every day.

Any one of those unrecognizable daily blessings could be a conversion of bad to good, just for us.

Romans 8:28

Poetry: Light In Madness

Oh dear Lord.

You are a comfort in a world gone mad.

How can I exist here and not

Be touched by such distressing stuff?

Though it grapples and clutches at me

To drag me down to depths of

Depression and despair of hope,

I climb back up.

I eat and drink your Word daily

In a world gone mad.

My Past Is Haunting Me

Are you having problems with unwelcome memories from your past? Is any point or stage from your past life troubling you? Are past experiences, mistakes, journeys, sorrows, sufferings, failed hopes, unrealized dreams, etc., consistently bothering you? Do you feel plagued by past occurrences over which you had no control?

God is aware. His Spirit is always near and within to help us. Struggling with our pasts, something that is unchangeable, is too much of a heavy burden for us. We cannot and were not meant to bear it alone.

We must always look to God, first as a formal committing over to him each morning the health of our mental and emotional state. Next, we must learn to immediately look to God whenever troubling thoughts and memories surface.

There are many short prayers that you can use. I find that this prayer has been helping me to cast down imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God:

Father, help me to see my past as you see it. Help me to see myself as you see me. Help me to see people as you see them. Help me to look beyond the flesh and into the spirit of myself, every person and every situation, past, present and future.

Pray this prayer, or one similar that you create, and you'll find yourself walking more in the Spirit each day.

How Can I Forgive II?

Forgiveness is a choice.
Forgiveness Is A Choice

You can forgive by saying to yourself and to God,

I forgive her, I forgive him, I forgive them.

Forgiveness is a choice that we make, just like the choice we can make to be happy against all odds.

Just choose to say to yourself that you forgive someone, even though you feel you can't. Choose to say it to God even if you feel like you hate the person. When we are obedient, the heart feeling eventually comes.

Our job is to be obedient. God will do the rest in our hearts and spirits.

This guidance does not include actions after forgiving, such as,

  • what you should do regarding those that you forgive,
  • whether or not you should approach the person(s) and tell him/her that you forgive them. Often we don't have that option, so it's a different subject than forgiveness between you and God.

For now, just focus on the basics of confessing forgiveness to yourself and to God. Don't bite off too much. God is not trying to burden you. God is leading you to a place where sincere forgiveness will be not traumatic but automatic, no matter what the offense. He want you to become strengthened to where you will not allow the flesh to afflict you about forgiveness.

In 2 Corinthians 2:8-11, Paul talks about forgiving through obedience and how Satan can take advantage of us if we refuse to understand.

8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him.

9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.

10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Take baby steps and just say it. No one has to know at this time when you find it so very difficult to forgive. You don't have to try to say it to anyone else at this time. When we are obedient in private, God always rewards us in the open. He is always faithful to strengthen us.
